Our premium component cables* combine an RG-6 type coaxial cable with a substantial 18AWG (1*1.02BC) bare center conductor for enhanced signal integrity. Connectors are assembly type, compound connectors with gold plated contacts, split center pin and high compression outer conductors for maximum contact and superior signal transfer. Colored rubber rings make each connector easy to identify and easier to grip. These cables are also CL2 rated to meet most building codes for in-wall installations.

Question: Why do some of your component cables have 5 RCA connectors while others have only 3? Answer: The 5 RCA cables have two additional connectors to connect the left and right audio channels. The 3 RCA connector cable transmit component Video only.

| Answer: In a perfect environment where there is no signal interferance issues and all componentry are the same level, component should deliver a comparable signal to HDMI. However, because analog signal like component are suceptible to signal interface, picture quality coloration related to cable quality and degredation due to attenuation over distance, in actual application, the HDMI picture will generally look sharper. Component suffers gradual picture quality degredation as the signal degrades while HDMI remains level and then drops off completely. However, component can be more reliable and resilient over extended lengths. Component is a good back up when HDMI can not be reliably used. |
