The much anticipated release of CrazyStu's Auction Central is now Live.
A breif instructional on how the auctions system works.
First of all, you need to create an account with CrazyStu. Once this is completed and you have logged into our system, you will be able to place bids.
Bidding works in much the same way as eBay. You can enter a maximum (proxy) bid at any time to lock in your maximum price, however the bid price will only increase in increments depending on the current price of the auction. ie. if the current bid price is $25 and you have entered a maximum bid of $50, the bid will only increase by 50c. This bidding increment increases as the current bid price of the auction rises. However if another user has entered a higher maximum bid than yourself, the current bid price will jump to the maximum price you have entered.
Here is the low down on bidding increments :
Highest Bid Bid Increments
$ 0.01 - $ 0.99 $ 0.05
$ 1.00 - $ 4.99 $ 0.25
$ 5.00 - $ 24.99 $ 0.50
$ 25.00 - $ 99.99 $ 1.00
$ 100.00 - $ 249.99 $ 2.50
$ 250.00 - $ 499.99 $ 5.00
$ 500.00 - $ 999.99 $ 10.00
$ 1000.00 - $ 2499.99 $ 25.00
$ 2500.00 - $ 4999.99 $ 50.00
$ 5000.00 and up $ 100.00
It is a good idea to use the "refresh page" option (on the product page) as details displayed on screen will only change upon refresh. It is a good idea to refresh the page before making a bid, as the auctions details may have changed. As well as the "refresh page every 60 seconds" option, hitting the reload or refresh button on your browser will display current auction information.
As this is a new system, we would appreciate any help with the reporting of bugs to admin@crazystu.com.au.
Auctions central will be released on a 1 week trial basis depending on consumer demand and feedback. Please let us know what you think.
More information can be obtained via the knowledge base under "Auctions".
