Light on price but big on features. The DP-Lite i is the latest in Beyonwizs line of  twin high definition PVRs. The DP Lite  comes at a very competitive price by trimming some features found on the premium model, Beyonwiz DP-P2. The DP-lite's key features include dual high definition (HD) TV tuners, a massive 500GB hard drive and support for IceTV.

One of the many reasons, we here at Crazystu, like this model is for it's Electronic Program Guide (EPG)  It's very easy to use and  displays in two formats:  Grid which shows multiple stations and time slots on the one screen or List which displays programs for a single station.  Simple to highlight a program you want to add to schedule and press the Rec key to add a recording. Press it twice and you get a full control panel for fine tuning the recording such as add to daily, weekly scheduling etc or add extra time padding for broadcater program over runs that are a common occurence with DTV.

Another key feature of the Beyonwiz DP-Lite i is an Ethernet port which alllows you to connect to your home network and  play back media from your network-attached computer/s. The unit doesnt use DLNA, but directly accesses folders which have share permissions granted. If the computer folder has write permission as well, then you can export recordings to it.
 

The Beyonwiz DP Lite also supports  IceTV  - you get a free three-month trial subscription with the purchase. IceTV offers programming of recordings via the web, You can download an app for your iphone which enables you to schedule recording where ever you you. The other nice features in Ice TV are series link schedule recording, keyword serach which automatically records shows based on any 'keyword'. Record shows with your favourite actors, directors or using any search term you like.
