CrazyStu are embarking on a major change to our website structure to allow for more products and better pricing.
The problem with listing litterally 100's of 1000's of products is that it becomes increasingly difficult to categorise the products logically. Further what's logical to us, is often not to the consumer.
The standard method of categorisation has been the status quo online and elsewhere and has been in use since the ice age. We believe this "technology" is outdated and truely believe the power of Web 2.0 will provide a more condusive environment for the re-thinking of how we find products online; hopefully removing much of the frustration of shopping with businesses which have large databases.
CrazyStu.com.au have embarked on a world first method of finding relevant products and browsing our online store. Instead of us telling you where you want to find products, you tell us using our Sphinx Search Engine.
Search for either a category or product using the appropriate search bar at the top of our page. Then drag relevant matches into the "Browsing Manager".
The Browsing manager will help you keep track of all the products you wish to look for while on Crazystu.com.au. The browsing manager will stay with you during your visit so you can quickly switch between products and categories you wish to browse without the need to go back and forth between category lists or product listings; having to re-find the products you're after.
The second phase, currently being worked and not yet implimented, will structure the Browsing Manager to become smarter. Basically we intend on using our customers search terms as "categories" and the products they drag into their Browsing Manager as the content of those categories. Popular "Category Searches" will then become categories in their own right. This means that people will be able to browse products which YOU think are relevant to the search terms you have typed in.
Sounds confusing? Hopefully not from our customers point of view. The struggle for us is to make the system as user friendly as possible.
This is an ongoing project, we appreciate and will consider all feedback return by our customers. If you have feedback or suggestions, please email admin@crazystu.com.au.
