I'm looking for a 12dcv/240acv power inverter to run drills/saws etc from an onsite trailer. There are 2 sorts - 1. "Modified" sine wave & 2. "Pure" sine wave. What are the differences? Will both units do the same job and if they will why are the pure sine wave units twice the price? Thanks.

Quite simply, Pure sine wave is a better option for sensitive devices such as printers, some electric motors and some LCD screens. Modifed works for just about everything else.
