Introducing the Strong SRT-7000, a ground breaking new PVR picking up where its award winning predecessor the 5495T left off. The most important new feature in this model is the ability to record by program name, meaning you can record an entire season of a program with ease. Also called series link or series record, this feature will automatically detect timeslot changes or cancelled programs to ensure you never miss an episode.
As with the 5495T, The Strong SRT-7000 also features AV composite and Component input recording (576p). This enables you to capture video from external sources such as satellite set top boxes and camcorders. The user can easily schedule recordings with this feature in much the same way as any other recording; simply select the av input channel, and the time you wish the unit to record.
The SRT-7000 also features a built in media player, enabling the user to view and playback a variety of common media file formats including mkv, avi, vob, m2ts to name a few.
The True Twin HD Tuners enable you to record up to 3 programs from 2 transponders while watching a fourth pre recorded program. This means you can Record (for instance) ABC NEW 24, ABC Kids, and Go all while watching a pre-recorded program.
Another new feature of the Strong SRT-7000 is the ability to control the devie using a wifi enabled iPhone, iPad, Adroid Phone or Android Pad. This means the unit can be hidden completely away from view or even in another room of your house. The WiFI remote will enable you to control most of the common PVR functionality and is very responsive.
