Introducing the latest in home theatre projection technology. The Luxcine ESP-214 MK II LED1080P projector (yes we do mean LED) solves the most common issues encountered with regular LCD projectors including; noise and heat ( LCD requires fans to cool the lamp v's LED no heat hence no noise whatsoever), power consumption, colour rendition, over contrasty images and uniformity of image (ie centre is brighter than edges) * This point is especially important as most LCD projectors are very tiring on the eyes when watched for long periods of time.
The LuxcineLED projector engine incorporates a number of innovative features. The GENESIS main board is state of the art and provides the platform for complete RGB colour and gamma control. The fully ecapusaled dust free LED engine will maintain image quality over time without the issue of dust and particles being embedded internally. LED results in a bright and efficient projector which will provide over 10 years of use before the bulb needs to be replaced * Based on 5 hours a day, 365 days a year. Replacement LED's are available for $150 installed by our technicians.
In all honesty I too was sceptical as to how bright an LED projector could be and I think this is the main concern regarding the technology to date. Everyone who follows projectors knows this is the way of the future but "is it quite there yet?" is always the question. We have tested this unit to its capacity even projecting over 150" and was in awe of the picture quality and especially the colour and edge to edge conformity.
CrazyStu imported a range of different sample projectors before we decided on this model. We spent countless dollars testing various projector models. These LCD projector models incorporated a range extra features and higher specifications. Most included higher suggested brightness in a measure of lumens and contrast which it seemed was the most important consumer buying points. After all our testing and before deciding that the Luxcine LED projector was truly the gem among the rough we put them all side by side and you know what in the end it came down to the best image quality and the Luxcine won out hands down. This is a brand we now swear by.
CrazyStu tests, - Luxcine LED vs Typical LCD Projectors. (These are observational tests, no solid figures are used. We're not scientists, but its not hard to tell the difference).

So how important are all these features? Do they really mean anything or are they just marketing furphy?
Like most people, we got excited with glitzy specs and low prices. We spent a small fortune testing and importing the alternative products. Before discovering the Luxcine we had settled on the idea that a sub $1000 projector with cheap bulbs was a great idea. The fact is its what they don't tell you that seems to make the most difference.
Most inexpensive projection systems we tested mask major image quality problems with features like card readers and USB which allow you to play DivX movies. The fact is these features have nothing to do with a good projector. The image is all important all these other features are easily added.
So what makes a good projector in the sub $1000 price range?
• Bright, clear and sharp image.
• Conformity of image from edge to edge
• Support for HDMI. input (HD Ready).
• Inexpensive to run.
• Low operating noise.
• Low operating heat.
• Long bulb life.
• Low Maintenance.
• HD support
• High Resolution.
• Quick startup - No warm up/cool time (turn on and off as you wish)..
• Instant image quality (Most projectors we tested in the sub $1000 price range take around 5mins for the image to reach full brightness.).
Ask our competitors if they're prepared to demo their units in use? You'll no doubt see a bunch of strangely convenient super imposed images which seem unrealistically bright and have no real comparative measure of quality.
These YouTube videos are for your consideration. Incidentally, we imported 10 of the exact projectors the Luxcine is being compared to in this movie. The units looks great on paper, - even claims to have far better projection specs in terms of contrast and brightness. Watch these videos.
We even got to the stage of listing the product the luxcine is compared to in this video. Here's the proof. The following are the retail image composites we had ready BEFORE we discovered that nobody in their right mind would buy one of these if they had an option to buy a Luxcine LED projector. These units are not unique either. Like many sub $1000 projectors at the moment they have great specs, cheap bulbs, 800x600 resolution, high contrast, HDMI HD Ready, some even suggest 1080p etc etc. We wouldn't blame you if you fell for it - We were so excited by the specs of the units pictured below that we imported 10 of them to try on the Aussie market. If only we knew what we do now.
It comes with loads of free options, specs like card readers and divx playback. It also has a Digital TV tuner inbuilt. It's specs are great, on paper, many are better than the luxcine. But is it anywhere near as good as the picture on the luxcine? See the above video.
Important point - HID globes generally have a 6000hrs lamp life
with the Luxcine its 20,000hrs
Here are the specs for the unit on the left. They look good don't they? You can buy these off us if you wish for $699. - We also have other similar test models, many exactly the same as those currently sold. Call us on 1800 788 502 for more info.
