Introducing the MediaStar PVR. This unit is much more than a simple (TIVO Like) PVR. It is the only unit on the Australian Market which enables you to record both Satellite (PayTV) and FreeView Channels. What this means is that you can record your satellite service including all Pay TV and free to air satellite . This includes all the current Free to Air Digital channels both SD and HD plus the soon to be released Free View Channels as they become available
Did we mention Twin Tuner? The HDX9100 enables you to record 2 channels (Satellite or Free to Air) while watching a third pre recorded program. Other features include ethernet capability to view downloaded movies and audio, USB 2.0HDD functionality - meaning you can use any USB 2.0 external HDD or USB stick and swap them as you wish (for example if you fill your HDD and wish to continue recording on another), HDMI Output (Full 1080I), DivX viewing, Mpeg 4 Recording and Viewing, Mpeg2 Recording and Viewing, 14 Day Electronic Program Guide (EPG) (Twice that of any other unit on the market), 40 Place pre-recording positions, Blind Scan (Extremely sensitive Channel Pickup), 2x Cam Slots, 2x Satellite Slots (enables you to insert 2 PayTV Cards), Picture in Picture functionality (PIP) and the list goes on and on and on.
The HDX9100 is by far the most advanced multifunction PVR on the market. Mediastar have created the most future proof PVR on the world market. We've tested these units ourselves and have nothing but praise for this unit. Well done MediaStar.
We've done all we can to explain the plethora of features this PVR represents. The only way we can make it easy to understand is to explain it in a real world environment. If you're unsure, please read the following Scenarios :
Jason: Jason has cables all over the place. A HD Set Top Box, Pay TV receiver, Standard PVR and Computer which he connects to his TV via AV cables. He's sick of all the remotes, cables and connections which are taking over his lounge room. Jason wants one unit which serves all these purposes. He found the answer with the HDX9100.
Sally: Gets home late at night. she wants to set up 2 weeks worth of recording to her PVR. Some of the programs she wants to record are from Pay TV, the others are from her standard HD set top box. She has to make a choice as to which she records as she can only set up recording on either the foxtel box or her HD Set Top Box. With the HDX9100 she can program recording on both Pay TV and HD Freeview TV at the touch of a button without unplugging any cables.
Matt: Records a lot of programs onto his current PVR. So much so that he has to keep deleting old data. With the HDX9100 Matt can simply change hard drives by plugging in another HDD via USB while he downloads his pre recorded data from the original HDD onto his computer.
Alex: Records lots of stuff to his PVR, like Matt he has to keep deleting them to free up space. With the HDX9100 Alex can not only copy them to his PC and play them back over ethernet, when Roger comes over and wants his own copy of the movie they are watching, he can simply plug in a USB stick and copy the movie for later viewing.
Andrew: Has a PVR which he uses to record Satellite TV. He also downloads movies from the Internet. Andrew also listens to music which he also downloads from the internet. Andrew has a PC which is connected via AV Cables, HD Set Top Box, Pay TV box and PVR. Andrew has to change cables around every time he wants to watch something from a different source. With the HDX9100 Andrew can watch and record all his programs from the one box. His mates can also save media by plugging in a USB stick.
